Where are the worlds Rainforest?

So where are the worlds Rainforests???


Tropical rainforests are located in a band around the equator mostly in the area between the Tropic of Cancer  and the Tropic of Capricorn. This 3,000 mile wide band is called the "Tropics."

The tropical rain forest can be found in three major geographical areas around the world.

  • Central America in the the Amazon river basin.
  • Africa - Zaire basin, with a small area in West Africa; also eastern Madagascar.
  • Indo-Malaysia - west coast of India, Assam, Southeast Asia, New Guinea and Queensland, Australia.
